Welcome to RRSalon. Ever since I can recall from my childhood memories, my career calling has been strong & clear towards Hair Artistry & it has been my craft & passion professionaly now since my teens!
As I began beauty school at 18 years old, I started as a receptionist & assisting at RRSalon. I sought out deepening my education through & along side my amazing father whom also always sought out further education & advancement throughout his career & with this my apprenticeship was born!
Two decades later I am as dedicated to continuing to learn techniques, share and apprentice my skills, keeping up my passion with trending movements as well as seeking continuing education in products, tools & the science of hair.
From behind the chair, I see & respect everyday the gift to share & facilitate, as well as connect & reach hair and styling goals & dreams with each client. I am blessed to work with each client building their vision with communication & consulting to reach a realistic compromise achieving the desired style.
I am honored to share my love of this craft, hold space, & earn the trust & security of my clients through my ambition & motivation that runs through me and with these hands create the magic in which we seek.
My name is Kersti Espinoza & I am
licensed cosmetologist of 9 years. I have been passionate about hair since I was a just little girl.
After years of holding on to my dreams of pursuing my cosmetology license, I graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in Reno in 2011 and have been thriving in the beauty industry ever since. I have worked at Robert Richard Salon for 6 years now & I consider it my second home. Being in an environment that I love, I pour my heart & soul into my work and my clients.
Trends are constantly changing over time and with that, I value the importance of continuous education in the industry. There's nothing I love more than making a client feel amazing with a haircut, hair color, deep conditioning treatment, and/or style. When It comes to hair color, I enjoy making magic from Natural looks, to bold, bright, & vivid, and everything in between.
At least half of my female clients are blonde so I'm experienced with different techniques of blonding. I love applying different techniques for some of the latest trends including balayage, smudged/shadowed root, sombre, & more. I have created styles for brides and bridemaids for many weddings over the years, so I am always pleased to style hair for important events.
I have always loved braiding and incorporate braids with wedding styles at times. I also do box braiding with synthetic hair for events like Burning Man & for clients who just want to rock braids.
